Are you passionate about accessible, collaborative, and inclusive local dance? Do you have experience in nonprofits, fundraising, or arts organization development? Does ensuring and supporting the sustainability of Baran Dance excite you (or keep you up at night)? If so... WE WANT YOU!
Baran Dance seeks applicants for our 26/27 Board of Directors. Applicants are expected to attend quarterly meetings (virtual or in person, as needed), commit to a minimum term of one year, and collaboratively plan and attend 1-2 major fundraising events throughout the year. Summer Skewl 2026
Take a trip with Baran Dance this Summer! Company artists Audrey Baran, Ravyn Hutton, RJ Lee, and Carolina Quirós Otárola will guide dancers through three days of movement and exploration. We will ride it out in Contemporary, Contemporary Ballet, Mindful Modern, and Company Repertoire. Space is limited… are YOU ready?

Baran Dance Auditions
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Baran Dance! We are a nonprofit contemporary dance company focused on performance, mentorship, and collaboration in the Charlotte community. Selected dancers are expected to actively participate in creative processes, a culture of reciprocal feedback, and consistent professional development. Choreographic and teaching opportunities may be available as well.
Baran Dance is comprised of a paid professional company, Baran Dance Company (BDC) and unpaid intern company, Baran Dance University (BDU). With few exceptions, all selected new / incoming dancers will be placed in BDU. Promotion to BDC is possible after one year of participation with Baran Dance. Carolina Ascent FC Nonprofit Night
In partnership with Carolina Ascent FC, Baran Dance is proud to participate in NonProfit Night on Saturday, April 11th! This special evening is dedicated to celebrating the incredible work nonprofits are doing across the Carolinas. $5 from each ticket sale will directly support our inclusive, collaborative, and community relevant contemporary dance programming.

Baran Dance University is designed for college dance majors, recent graduates, and emerging dance artists seeking to deepen their technical training, develop creative skills, and gain experience in a professional company while preparing for a vibrant career in dance.
Baran Dance Summer Workshops
Join Baran Dance for our Summer Workshops! You have TWO weekends to choose from (or join us for both) and single class passes are also available.
